First we took the train to Freiburg and then we walked to the museum at “Colombischlössle”. In the past the famous villa was owned by a rich Countess and later transformed into an Archeological museum. Our tour guides gave us a tour in English and they started with a skeleton from the iron age, which had a lot of grave goods such as jewels and glass. After that we went up to the actual “Celtic village” and learned about life there. The Celts made their own weapons out of iron as well as a lot of jewellery and they already imported glass. They made their own pottery and they defended their villages with big walls and fences. The Celts also had coins to pay and trade with other people was already very big. The end of the tour was our own “Celtic comic”, which we put together on an ipad and added photos we took of ourselves, dessed up as Celtic people. At one o’clock, we took the train back to Waldkirch.
